Requirements (Important)

• Original WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain disc
• PCSX2 Nightly (latest recommended)
• Two free tools only (see below)

Always use your own copy of the game.
Redistribution of the ISO is not allowed.

Required Software (Free)

Installation Notes:

• All software is free.
• macOS users can use Disk Utility or AnyToISO if they prefer GUI.
• Linux users can install p7zip and genisoimage via their package manager.
• Important: I only have Windows, so I have not tested this mod on macOS or Linux.
  If you use macOS or Linux, it is recommended that you first test the process using your original HCTP disc: create an ISO from its folders and files, then try to run it in PCSX2 Nightly.
  This ensures your system will successfully boot the game before you attempt to add the Ultimate Edition mod.

Step 1: Copy the Original Game Files

1. Insert your original HCTP disc into an external DVD drive connected to your computer.
   (If you happen to have an old PC or laptop with a built-in DVD drive, you can use that instead.)
2. Open the disc and copy ALL files and folders from it.
3. Create a new folder anywhere on your computer and name it exactly:
   HCTP Ultimate Edition
4. Paste all copied disc contents into this folder.

Step 2: Extract the Ultimate Edition Mod Files

1. Download the HCTP Ultimate Edition .7z file.
2. Extract it using the appropriate software for your OS:
   • Windows: 7-Zip
   • macOS: Keka or The Unarchiver
   • Linux: p7zip / Ark / File Roller
3. When prompted, enter the password provided for your version.
4. After extraction, you will see 4 folders and 1 text file:
   • Folders: cheats, FILES, memcards, PS2
   • Text file: Guides and FAQs - HCTP Ultimate Edition V1.txt
5. The files you need to copy and paste are inside the FILES folder.
   • Open the FILES folder, select all its contents, and copy them.

These are the files that will replace the original files in the next step.
Do not copy the other folders or the text

Step 3: Replace the Original Game Files

1. Open your previously created folder: HCTP Ultimate Edition
2. Paste the copied mod files into it.
3. When prompted, select: Replace files

All folders are already arranged correctly. No manual editing required.

Step 4: Create the ISO Image

Windows (ImgBurn)

1. Open ImgBurn
2. Select: Create image file from files/folders
3. Source:
   • Click Browse for a folder
   • Select: HCTP Ultimate Edition
4. Destination:
   • Click Browse for a file
   • Name the ISO: HCTP Ultimate Edition.iso
5. Click Build → Click Yes
6. Set disc labels:
   • ISO9660 Label: HCTP_ULTIMATE_EDITION
   • UDF Label: HCTP Ultimate EDITION
7. Click OK, then OK again and wait until the ISO creation finishes.

macOS (AnyToISO or Disk Utility)

AnyToISO

1. Open AnyToISO → select Folder to ISO
2. Choose the folder HCTP Ultimate Edition
3. Name the ISO: HCTP Ultimate Edition.iso
4. Start conversion.

Disk Utility

1. Open Disk Utility → File → New Image → Image from Folder
2. Select HCTP Ultimate Edition
3. Format: DVD/CD Master
4. Save → rename .cdr to .iso if needed.

Linux (genisoimage / mkisofs)

1. Open terminal.
2. Run:
   genisoimage -o "HCTP Ultimate Edition.iso" -V HCTP_ULTIMATE_EDITION -J -R "HCTP Ultimate Edition"

Step 5: Run the Game in PCSX2 Nightly

1. Open PCSX2 Nightly
2. Go to: System → Start File
3. Select: HCTP Ultimate Edition.iso

Step 6: Set Up the Memory Card

1. Open PCSX2 Nightly → go to: Settings → Memory Cards → Folder
   This shows the folder where memory cards should be placed.
2. Copy the memcards folder provided with the mod into that directory.
3. In PCSX2 Nightly, right-click:
   HCTP Ultimate Edition V1 (Tier 1) - a7med7assan5
4. Select: Use for Slot 1

Step 7: Enable Cheats

1. Open PCSX2 Nightly → go to: Settings → Folders → Cheats Directory
   This shows the folder where cheats should be placed.
2. Copy the cheats folder provided with the mod into that directory.
3. Open PCSX2 Nightly → go to: Settings → Emulation
4. Check: Enable Cheats

Alternative Methods / No PC Available

If you cannot perform the installation on a Windows PC directly:

1. Virtual Machine (VM)
   • On macOS or Linux, you can install Windows inside VirtualBox or another VM.
   • Then follow the standard Windows steps: copy original disc files, replace mod files, and create the ISO.
2. Cyber Café or Friend’s PC
   • Use any Windows PC to perform the process.
   • Copy your original HCTP disc files, replace with the mod files, and create your own ISO there.
   • Then transfer the ISO and memory cards back to your system.

Important:
You must create the ISO yourself from your own original HCTP disc.
No pre-made ISO is provided with this mod.
